Hello there all..Good evening..I am Akis from Greece and nice to meet you all. I have a question and i want everybody who knows to help me to a problem. I have a packet of electrification from french and i want to put the contact circles and return circles to every model so i can connect with a wire from one pole to the next pole.. does anyone knows how can i do this. All models are fronm 3ds Max..

Wait for your replies.
Regards
Akis..

Hi, to do this you need to create a "node" in 3Ds Max where you have to put wires, one node for each wire, and call it 1_0128_wire.

After this, you need to create your gantry blueprint with the same node and set it into a "contact wire" for the wire that touch the pantograph, and "return wire" for the other wire.

Hey friend..would you please show me the steps with every detail on how to do it cause i dont know the basics on these programms..its a fully packet and connecting with a wire i need only the contact circles and return circles..Wires i have from others electrifications..If you want to help me show me the steps on 3ds max. Or if you want i will send you all the 3d files to do it for me.. If you have time and want to help me..

Have a nice night my friend.

Hi, due to some problem at moment  I haven't time but now try to explain how do it yourself.

In first, open the 3D with 3Ds;
The next step is create the node, so:
- create a cube with very small size, apply to it a texture and rename it 1_0128_node1
- set the position of this cube in the poin where you have to connect cables (the return wire for example)
- link this cube at the main object
- export the object as .IGS file

This for the 3D file, for the export in the blueprint can you wait a little? I need to post you an image (it more easy to understand)

Here for the next points......

How you can see in the attached pics, when you create the gantry blueprint for your 3D file just exported, it necessary to set up the node as in the image.

So, when you have your exported 3D file with texture:
- copy it into the "source" folder inside your Railworks directory (if you didn't have this folder, create it)
- oper the blueprint.exe
- goto  your source folder/provider/product and find the 3D file
- there, create a new gentry blueprint
- set this blueprint with the needed information
- set up the node (as you can see in the image)
- export the file

Hope this is helpful, in any case, I'm here!
